The University Hospital Center "Mother Teresa" in Tirana is the largest healthcare institution in Albania and, as an academic healthcare institution, it is the only one of its kind, classified as the only Albanian tertiary healthcare center. Currently, the QSU "Mother Teresa" provides outpatient healthcare services for about 300,000 people annually, inpatient services for over 80,000 cases per year, and emergency services for over 260,000 people per year. The hospital has a capacity of 1,450 beds and provides medical assistance to an average of 400 hospitalized patients daily.
