Mrizi i Zanave

Restaurant “Mrizi i Zanave”, operating since 2004, is located in the center of Tirana, next to the 18th century monument Ura e Tabakeve (Tanners’ Bridge). It was named “Mrizi i Zanave” in memory of the owner’s grandfather, Brahë Alia, who sang on the Albanian lute of fairies (Zana) resting near streams in the high oak forests (Mrizi) and the legendary brave warriors defending their highlands through the epic verses of the Songs of the Frontier Warriors.
The tranquil purity of the fairies and the relentless fighting spirit of the heroes we aim to bring to you through the interior built with wood and rock from Valbona, artisanal works from Zadrima, Kruja and Korça, and the combination of traditional highland dishes made of organic products from the Albanian Alps with modern Mediterranean cuisine.
